From the Manger hymn

The words were really helpful for focusing on the radically hopeful message nature of Jesus' ministry and God's vision of the kingdom. The melody, especially the chorus, grows on one as one gets used to it and we found ourselves humming that through the weeks of Advent. I used the hymn as a focal point in my sermon on Christmas Eve. One of my congregations used the hymn each week during Advent and everyone joined in on Christmas Eve. In the other congregation the choir sang it with me but I noticed members of the congregation also joining in.
