First a comment about a staff member. Dan Swisher is the BEST. I am restoring a clock made in the 1760s, that uses an "endless loop rope drive. " and a pretty heavy weight to run. The splice has got to be perfect, or it will hang up in the drive gear, Dan figured out how to do it, and what kind or rope could substitute satisfactorily for the original. . I have no doubt that this arrangement will work for another hundred years
