E61 58mm Bottomless Portafilter (Beechwood)

Really good, but could be great

It does what I needed it to do which was to help me visualise the effects of poor tamping and distribution, so overall i'm really happy with it. Two things did disappoint me a little given it wasn't all that cheap: 1. was how light it is – even without having all the spouting gubbins like a traditional portafilter it's so light it feels unbalanced and if I'm honest a bit "cheap". I feel like the bolt could extend further into the handle to add some extra weight at the handle end and give it better balance. 2. The lugs are a slightly different shape to my lelit portafilter, so even thought it's an "e61"it doesn't attach to the group head in the same smooth way as the OEM portafilter. For me those are two small things that would have made this a great portafilter, but none the less i'm really happy with it.
