Love the coat!
I love the style of this coat. It's not itchy. It's lightweight and easy to throw on/less bulky than some of my other coats (J Crew italian coats). I'm super happy with it honestly. I love having a little room. I ordered an XXL and I am happy with the fit.
Lol the arms are short in the cut and that's the only way the coat works for me (5'3"). If you are tall with long arms you may not like the fit. I feel like all Kiel James Patrick items are designed off a petite female and I'm okay with that because I am one lol.
I would have gone XL and it would have probably worked, but I wanted more room for the coat to fit over bulky winter clothing and layers. For reference my JCrew items I wear include a large petite winter parka that has lots of room. I wear medium/large in Lilly Pulitzer. I wear small/medium in Emily McCarthy tops. I wear a medium/large in LL Bean tops for reference. This Southern Gal loves her NE brands too.
You're going to have to size up in this brand. My back is broad so I always feel there's not enough material in this brand in terms of across the back and the arm holes. I wear a size XL or 14 in the flannel dresses to have enough material for my bust and the back and arms still feel odd usually. But I have a chest. The cuts here are for petite bodies. And although I'm 5'3" sometimes petite cuts don't work for my curves. Just for reference.

Love this well styled coat
I have loved the look of this coat for a few seasons, but I just bought it this one. It is perfect! I like the shorter arm length, but I am petite in stature. I bought a small for my 5 foot, broad shouldered frame. I typically wear a small or size 4. I also like the toggle closure. Pocket placement is great as well in relation to the structure of the coat.
