Black Gum

Wonderful tree but not fall red leaves

I think my Black Gum tree will grow beautifully into the wide canopy tree I want. The 6-7’ tree has only been growing in my lawn for a few months. Just a note not to expect the gorgeous red fall colored leaves that are pictured. (I did read in the description that colors are red, yellow and orange.) But the picture dominated my imagination. However my tree’s fall leaf color is yellow-orange. Oh, well; it will still be a handsome tree one day.
