Jeep Cherokee XJ Big 7 Battery Cable Kit (1987-2001)

The Big 7 Jeep Cables Kit was the perfect wiring upgrade for my 1997 XJ. I was glad I checked the youtube videos before trying to install the cables. I was disappointed about needing to either trim the shroud on the positive terminal of the Alternator or trim the supplied wire eyelet and insulation to make the wire fit. And luckily I ordered the Fuse Block enclosure. I have not installed it yet but I am sure it will work great as XJ's love good Battery power and after 29 years it needed the upgrade. Thank You

Let me first say these cables ROCK! Super easy to install and made a huge difference for my XJ. My 26 year old wiring degraded to the point where driving was dangerous. Since the install my XJ has worked flawlessly and now has the option and ability to run high output alternator. Highly recommend this upgrade.

Let me start by saying they are well built. No corners cut, solid construction, great wire. The price is steep. Maybe to steep. The instructions for the most part are clear but there are some issues with some jeeps models, (1997 in my case) that could have been more clear. like the starter has a junction for the ground and hot lines. The alternator has another kind confusing stock wiring that doesn't translate straight over. Some other important details seems to be lost in the weeds so to speak. Overall very satisfied but one star missing because I had to do a bit of digging to find some answers and considering, the price is a little on the higher side.
