Gooseneck Barnacles (Percebes)

While looking online for images of Galician gooseneck barnacles to show some friends, I discovered by chance that they’re also harvested in Alaska. We placed an order right away and, to our surprise, it arrived in Miami, Florida within 48 hours. When we opened the package, the barnacles were still cold and in excellent condition. They were large, fresh, and had great flavor. Being from Galicia in northwestern Spain, I was pleasantly surprised to find percebes of such quality in the U.S. We will definitely be ordering again soon.

Goosenecks were good. But compared to another reseller they could be purged in salt water to reduce silt. Also some clutches were attached to several rocks the size of your clenched fist. I wonder if you receive less than 4 lbs since how do you account for rock weight vs Goosenecks if they're not separated? Another reseller I've ordered from removes them from rocks for this purpose. That does require more work though.
