These test fixtures are very good for welder qualification testing and welder training. They provide welders the opportunity to prepare for testing on stainless steel and similar materials that require gas backing. *The only thing missing from these fixtures is a 1/4" thick by 2" square lug welded to the side and top of the fixture to enable welders to clamp the fixture in position, so it doesn't move while testing in a stationary position. This is an easy addition to these fixtures that I hope the manufacturer will take note of as I have six of these fixtures and sometimes have an issue clamping them to a test tree. I very much like these test fixtures and hope this simple improvement comes to pass. Your future customers will thank you for it. Best Regards - Bill

Great product needs one thing changed

The fixture is very well made. However we found that the back purge trough area needs to be machined deeper perhaps another 3/8” or so. The screen is too close to the weld area and ends up getting burned up too easily. Other than that it is a wonderful product.
