More useful than I had planned

I had seen the advertisements for Cane Masters for a while. My wife decided to get me one for Christmas this past year. I have been having some issues with my left hip and she thought it would be good to keep me more stable. We took the cane with us on a three week vacation in Spain in February. It was very easy to travel with and in many situations got us through lines faster. Past Christmas and through this trip my hip kept getting worse and my cane was a constant companion. I ended up getting imaging done on my hips and lower back. I had a lower lumbar fusion a little over a week ago. To be released from the hospital, they required me to walk down the hallway with the Physical Therapist. He wanted me to use a walker but I asked if I could use my cane instead. He said it was properly sized (which I did by following the instructions on the site). We went trucking down the hall and back without issue and he was impressed with my stability. One of the nurses commented on how nice my cane is. I have the Every Day Walking Cane With Palm Rest in Hickory with Heartwood, medium brown. I am scheduled for a hip replacement later this year. My cane will be getting a lot more use though this year. While I hope I don't NEED to use the cane as much in the future, it will still be by my side a lot. It is great looking and provides that extra protection one would like.

If you can afford it, order your cane with the palm rest. You'll like it better than you thought you would. It was surprising to me how that little feature could result in such a big sense of comfort and support.
