Rocky Point Garden Soil

This is generally pretty good soil, but the last time I laid some it had some obviously under rotted manure because the soil heated up to a very high temperature a few days after laying it and maggots started coming out of it. Not a big deal, just left it a week or so longer, but if I'd planted my avocado tree in when I had planned I can only assume the roots would've been harmed.
