Better in gold than silver

I do think these are a little pricey for the simplicity of the design. I purchased these earrings in gold for my daughter a year ago, and then purchased them in silver for myself, without being able to see the silver in person. The gold reflects the light and shows off much better than the silver, which was not very shinny for new sterling silver. Also, the earrings need some kind of backing. I lost one of them at a party the second time I wore it. But fortunately, the host found it the next day! So I purchased a small plastic backing which seems to help hold them in place.
