Not the best for finer shorter hair…
Full disclaimer, I have slightly wavy, mature, fine hair in a chin length bob. If I had read the description more fully, I would have realized it wasn’t the best choice for me. I have given smooth it to my sister-in-law as it’s better suited to her hair. I thought it would be easier to handle than a flat iron, but found it heavy to use and as you have to hold the hair to pass the tool through it I had too little length and it felt really awkward. I loved that the outer iron prongs did not get burning hot so you could get it close to your scalp, really appreciated the customizable temperatures. Aesthetically I wish the cord was pink or cream as opposed to black. I think you’ll love it. If you have the right type of hair for it it just wasn’t the best choice for me. I love the glam wave for my hair and the two and one volume dryer with interchangeable brushes, I use the round the oval and the teardrop all the time as part of my regular routine. Hope that helps!

The Smooth It
I absolutely love this tool. I was able to use it with success right out of the box. I have naturally curly hair and this just smooths it out and makes it look so pretty. I happened to run into my hair dresser and she asked where I had my hair done and when I told I did it, she said she needs to buy a few for her shop and show it to some of her older ladies (like me). I thought that was a great idea.

Short hair problems.
I bought this hot tool because I got a stacked bob hair cut and my straighter couldn't straighten the back bc it was to short. I thought I could comb this through the back of my hair to straighten since it was to short to clamp with a straightener. That is not the case. You need to hold your hair to start to make sure it all goes through the comb and stayes inside the comb where it is hot to straighten. I ended up shaving under where I couldn't straighten to prevent my hair and self from flipping out lol. I would say you at least need 3 inches of hair for this tool to work properly. I do use it on the top of my hair and it works awesome! When I go straight up and slightly curl it like I would a round brush it gives SO MUCH volume! My friend actually recommended this tool to me bc she has thick hair with corse hair strands and it cuts her straighten time in half compared to used a regular straightener. I really do like this hot tool! Just doesnt work well if your hair is to short to hold while using it. Definitely do recommend it tho! Gets hot fast and works really well.
