Interesting and Compelling
Gajah Mada is a compelling fragrance. It's hard to describe... it's warm and broody but I wouldn't call it spicy warm. I think that warm, spicy note comes from the tolu balsam. The combination of quince, plum and blood orange is interesting. What I get the most from the fruit notes is quince and date I can't really pick out plum or blood orange but I will say that all of the notes work together to make a really special and interesting fragrance. I would call it masculine leaning but wouldn't rule it out for a woman. It's a fragrance for middle-age or older.

Extraordinary
Lubin never disappoints and usually delights. Gajah Mada, however, is beyond just delightful, it is perfect for me. I have worn Akkad exclusively since its introduction in 2012 and thought that their would never be a better fit. Gajah Mada is that impossible better fit. Be careful though, this is a very powerful fragrance that develops slowly and lasts a long time .
