The DIY version failed after an unsolveable problem, but the follow up was great
I already have a TouchDRO on my mill and thought this DIY version would be great for the lathe. Unfortunately after working for a few minutes I added a Tacho similar to the one on the mill Turning the kit back on a thin trace of smoke came from the board. After an email exchange with Yuriy he couldn't fix the fault and as there is no warranty the kit was scrapped. A big plus point was a discount on a DRO for lathes. That new version is superb. So only 4 stars because of the problem, but 5 stars for the new version.

Great little project if you enjoy DIY kits with not too complicated directions. The soldering and assembly wasn't hard, just needed to make sure I had all the parts before beginning. Worked as advertised. I'm extremely pleased.

Good Kit- Some instruction would be good
Good Kit. I searched and could not find directions on how to assemble. While generally intuitive, some instruction would be helpful. For instance, seat the ESP32 fully in the board and solder. Then cutoff excess leads. Otherwise the USB port does not line up. Stating a length to cut the leads would also be helpful. Just cutting in the middle is too long.
