Lovely socks but pilled easily for us

We love this brand and everything it stands for. These socks are nice and thick, and they seem well made. However, they pilled after 1-2 wears for my kid. I’m wondering if it’s because they are slightly large for him so when he wears them, his foot slips around, causing a lot of friction? Not really sure. He still likes to wear them and they’re quite warm, which was the objective, but I had hoped they wouldn’t start pulling quite so soon.

So comfy!

Bought 6 pairs of same color for my 3T boy. He hates socks in general but doesn’t complain wearing these. It’s super soft, stretchy, thick & warm. Piles a bit after a while but nothing that a sweater brush cannot handle.
