Inky, Smokey, Delightfully Smells of Old Books Yellowed by Nicotine
The aura around the BeauFort London line is dark, brooding, and scary. It’s not. I’ve tried two of their fragrances, and both were stunning and very wearable. Don’t be afraid of this line. Yes, it’s strong but well worth trying. Coeur De Noir is inky, smokey, and smells delightfully of old books yellowed by nicotine. It’s well balanced while keeping dominating notes in check. It’s rich, deep, and nostalgic with a sparse sweetness. I consider it quite masculine. The scent is original, captivating, and long lasting. I would classify it as an evening, cozy, cold weather type of fragrance. Great date night fragrance if you want to attract someone who loves the smell of old libraries. I loved it so much, I bought a full bottle. (If the ink note is a no-go for you, try J-Scent Black Leather instead.)
