I'm sure its a good phone but not really suited to my needs
I am sure its a good phone, but I needed a tough phone for work to replace my very old xcover3 and this is what is now available. It is to big a phone and is a pain in a pocket when you are trying to work as it gets in the way. I also miss very much the front mounted buttons of my old phone, the side ones are harder to use. I know I am not in any way a tech wizard but this phone just has to much stuff on it for me to ever want to use. I hope I get used to working it but I will never get used to its physical size

Decent phone if rather clumsy
Previously I used a Galaxy Xcover Pro. That had two major selling points: FM radio and replaceable (ie sustainable) battery. However it has gotten harder and harder to source a battery, so this year I looked for a new model. I wanted XCover and a recent OS so I decided to sacrifice some Pro features and chose the XCover 7 (Android 14) over the XCover 6 Pro (Android 12). No Xcover 7 Pro model is available yet. Like the Pro the 7 is robust and stands up to being dropped, or carried in a wet pocket on long hikes. Sadly it has no FM radio receiver. The screen is generously sized so watching video is a pleasanter experience. Photos have a yellower - and to me more attractive - cast than the XCover Pro. Cons: The icons are large and the graphics in general give a rather coarse appearance. The side key (the 'on' key) stands proud of the casing so I'm forever switching the screen off by mistake. The volume key is a single rocker for up and down making screenshots fiddly. Unless Samsung make batteries available, this phone's life is as limited as any phone without replaceable battery.
