1996-2002 4Runner / 1996-2004 Tacoma Ditch Light Brackets

Really wish there were install instructions. I get where it goes on the vehicle. But in the door jam do we put it under the rubber weather striping? Then won't the door leak? Wish it had specific instructions to help.

Worked as intended. Great product.
