New favorite pant for hot weather

I was a little skeptical, and I'm usually skeptical when pants are advertised for hot weather. I've tried a couple of first lite and other brands pants in the past... They were OK, but let's face it, a pant for a pant. Just feel like you're sweating into heavy fabric, even with use of different fabric sections advertised to breathe. But the Frontier Light has totally made me reevaluate my skepticism. When you put it on, you immediately notice how light it is, when pushing through the back country on hot August days, the fabric doesn't feel like a sweat lodge. The side vents are easily accessible and do a great job to help release heat and keep the pants cool. Another well thought out placement were the pockets again on first lite, kuiu, sikta etc I have run into issues with pockets. The pockets are either the wrong size to be useful in shoving gear in, either too small to accommodate or too large so that the contents flop around. They are also positioned in awkward places, and I hate having pockets hit the side of your knee with every step. These pockets are near perfect, large enough to shove gear in without being too large, to let them flop around and place well on the thigh, to stay out of the way when scrambling or logging miles down the trail. The knees are well articulated and can take knee pads for an extended time, scrambling to get a shot. Overall, the fabric doesn't bind or restrict movement. I'm 6 ft 190 lbs with a 34 inch waist. The 34 inch waist and 33 inch length fit perfectly.

My everyday pants in archery season. I've tried several brands over the years and these are by far and away the best quality pants I've tried. Very comfortable and durable. Myself and my brothers all wear the light frontier pants now and we all love them.

Frontier 2.0

I recently purchased two pairs of the 2.0’s. My button broke the first time I washed them on one of the pairs. Besides that, the pants are perfect. Beyond comfortable and flexible. I would strongly recommend them.
