Bigme B6 Color eReader with Android 14OS

The device feels very solid and comfortable, and runs all the Android apps I’ve tried quite well. The size is just perfect. I got the device for studying Chinese while I am on public transit, and it works very well for that purpose. It supports all my favorite apps, renders 漫画 better than I expected, and is much more comfortable to carry around than a full size tablet. I’m happy with the color screen and it suits my purposes well, but it is much lower contrast than what I’m used to with monochrome eink screens. I expect i will use the front lights more than i do with my black and white ereader for reading comfort. One very nice touch is that the OS includes a feature for adjusting how specific apps’ user interfaces are rendered to get them looking their best. I’ve only spent à little time playing with it, but it has definitely been helpful for improving the appearance of apps that don’t render as well on the eink screen by default.
