This is probably the best product I’ve used to blacken tracks. You do have to use an old tooth brush to scrub the tracks to get the fluid in the nooks and crannies. However, the solution starts working almost immediately and has a very nice finish.

It's better than the AK brand. That brand leaves a bunch of sludge and will have crystals form over the fluid. So VMS Black Track is the one to use. I left the last batch in 15 mins and they turned black as it should. The one bottle I did burnished 2 sets of 1/32 scsle tracks and 2 sets of 1/35 scale tracks. The AK brand did 2 sets of 1/35 scale tracks. In closing its best to burnishing the individual pieces before assembly.
