Large Ink Capacity is a Major Bonus!
It wasn't as intuitive as other writing experiences. I hadn't yet used fountain pen with the mechanism found in the Opus 88. But once I got the ink to start, it shot up in my estimation greatly. The flow is not overly dry nor overly wet. I've been pairing it with J'Herbin's Emerald of Chivor and it's been handling the ink incredibly well. I filled quite a few pages at my most recent TTRPG session with a number of doodles/ notes and it still has large reservoir of ink to give. The spacious eye-dropper volume makes it easily portable without the need to bring along the various accoutrement necessary to refill it. I expect it will be a regular workhorse for my D&D notes.

I have this pen for a few weeks now and its become my carry pen. It's slightly larger than my Custom 823. Writes smooth every time. I heard a review that said you don't hear about Opus 88 because they do not come out with new pens that often. That's because they don't have to. This one is great.

Opus 88 is my top fav eyedropper fountain pen. I can write for weeks with one ink fill-up! Smooth writing and easy maintenance. It’s perfect. A classy, all-black EDC fountain pen. No brainer. VERY happy.
