Unclipped cheek pad
Overall comfortable helmet, I bought a large based off the size guide and my measurements and it seems to fit well however on one side the cheek pad part that snaps in regularly pops out. The cheek pad is connected in other areas so it remains attached in the helmet but is just loose in that one area and stays put from the pressure of my face. It's only annoying when putting the helmet on otherwise it stays in place.

Decent helmet for the price.
Contrary to the 509 website information, this helmet does not fit the ODT Chips 2. 0 helmet speakers. This is my 3rd attempt to fit the speakers I purchased for snowmobiling into a 509 helmet that the website said was compatible. The R3L and R4 also do not fit the ODT Chips Bluetooth helmet speakers. Additionally, my helmet did not come with instructions on how to remove the liner, etc. And if you want to use it without the face covering liner, you will need a different helmet liner that is sold separately. The Helmet is stylish, decently light weight, and works well for average temperatures trail riding (sub zero temperatures you will want a heated shield helmet like the R3L). I would recommend the helmet, but you may find some contradictions from the information on the 509 website.

New Mountain Helmet
I like my new helmet. The quick chin strap latch, more insulation around the goggle hole, and quieter design with no ear hole in the outer shell are all improvements. However, I am still struggling with the little red snaps that hold the padding in place by my chin. I don't think any popped loose during my last ride so maybe it will be okay, but I would prefer if you make them stronger.
