Amour de Ambre Perfume - Special Reserve

Well done, but more floral than I'd hoped

I blind-bought the bottle on recommendations from amber-lovers. But, amber can be done a lot of ways, and this one veers towards Miracle with strong floral notes that don't back down. I'm more of a spices & resins type, so I'll probably be gifting this to someone with a nose for florals.

Good blend

Well-balanced. The amber doesn't get lost in the mix, although the orchid note brings it too far into the florals territory for my liking and leans "cold". A very nice fragrance overall, just not one of my favorites.
