I cannot open the earrings. The post is in the back enclosure of both earrings is so tight that they cannot be opened. It is as if someone used pliers to close the back enclosures around the posts

I purchased these as a gift for a girlfriend. Her birthday is next month but I'm sure she will love them! They are so pretty and just the perfect size for a hoop earring!
