My Baby Loves the Ninni!

I was so hesitant to use any pacifier because I didn’t want anything to mess with my baby’s latch or oral development, but decided to try the Ninni even with some mixed reviews. We introduced it to her at 3 weeks old when nothing would soothe her during the witching hour. She took to it right away and I can see that she has a correct latch when sucking on it! It pops out when she stops sucking, but that’s exactly what happens when she stops sucking the breast, so I have no issue with that. We only give it to her when nothing else will calm her down, and I have a feeling that it’ll be easy to wean her off of it in a few months. We are so happy with our Ninni pacifiers!!

Only paci my baby will take

After struggling to get my baby to take all kinds of pacis- Dr Browns, Avent, Itzy Ritzy etc... this was the only one she would take. It really helps with her latch and i can tell she enjoys it more because of how soft it is compared to traditional pacifiers

Good idea, not great execution

My girl is picky with a capital P and has an awful gag reflex. She is exclusively breastfed. She didn’t even start considering a pacifier until 12 ish weeks but I kept trying since around 8 weeks because she nurses for comfort every 2 hours and doesn’t even take any milk for a feed. Just wants to suckle. I tried 9 different pacifiers and succumbed to the $20 ninni co and $20 shipping (Canada) because I felt helpless. It arrived delayed. She’s now 14 weeks and when we tried the ninni co, it just kept collapsing and she just played with the nipple with her tongue. It has very very soft silicone (too soft?). The shield is also very large - this must be to accommodate for the wide base but it just felt too big and flimsy for my babe to handle. We tried the ninni co for several days. But she has now happily accepted a Bibs round nipple for the last 3 days.. maybe she just needed time to grow into her mouth and gag reflex?? I wouldn’t purchase this again but maybe I’ll save it for our second baby down the line to try then.
