Kadet Max 15L Sling

I love. The little bag that seems big!!

I originally bought this bag as a weekend knock around bag. The kind of bag you use to go to your kid's soccer game, with a laptop (because of course you have work to do) and a camera. It's become my everyday carry bag. I was using a Chrome Citizen 24L. I like the bag, but it felt smaller than 24L. The Kadet Max with its organization and pockets feels bigger than 15L. I generally carry a laptop, a 7x10 Notebook, a reporters notebook, a Tom Bihn HLT 2l (Handy little thing) and a bento box. It can fit a trackpad and travel keyboard if you want. Even another case with some cables, battery pack and chargers. I really love this bag. It surprised me how useful its become. Its very comfortable even when fully loaded. Highly recommend.

Know Your Needs!

I was searching for the right sling bag, and ultimately went with a 5 liter sling that’s perfect for the right amp of too much for everyday carry. Then I thought “I want a bigger one so I can bring my iPad (full size) and an extra layer for when the temperature drops just below t-shirt comfort.” Yes, I was justifying a purchase in advance… I initially wanted to get the waterproof version, but a couple of reviews got me thinking twice. The other materials had my curiosity, but the tarp spoke to me, as it seemed to have a little better weather protection than the standard material. I think it’s perfect for my needs. I’m not a cyclist who will be caught out in torrential rains for hours at a time, but sometimes I get rain on me. I am fully confident that my electronics will be safe in this bag under the harshest conditions that I expect to endure. The buckle is a bit clacky when messing around, but I don’t notice any noise while wearing it. I didn’t expect to appreciate the stabilizer strap, but it’s actually a favorite feature! I do recommend adding some kind of organizer; the photo insert is great for my usage! Without it, I’m inclined to overpack, to keep things from shifting too much. Now I want the regular Kadet!

Glad I went for it

I’d been eyeing a chrome bag for a while. I’m a short person and the messenger bags made me look like a clown. This bag fits much better and can still hold my larger work laptop just fine. I also managed to get the Pride month pattern which really resonated with me and I appreciated some attention being paid to cyclists that like to wear jean jackets and baggy pants rather than lycra.
