What is the Tabu 2.0
We launched the original Tabu in 2015. It instantly became a hit with LUNA fans and especially with the ultralight backpacking crowd. Barefoot Ted had originally found the design in a factory museum of a famous traditional Japanese tabi company in Tokyo. He said “I want this!”

So far so good
Now that I received them they fit just fine from toe to heel. There is a little too much ease in the ankle to bottom of foot. For walking a lot in these they have some play side to side in the heel. You might find your heel gravitating to one side and not having your heel directly on the grip part of the Tabo. I’d do that with my sandals sometimes and it makes it awkward. If you were just around camp and or strapped in to some sandals they’re great. For the short time I tried them on they seem to have some warmth to them. I also found that I didn’t have to adjust the main part of my sandals with wearing the Luna Tabo in them, just the tech strap to help keep the ankle part up.

Size up if on the cusp
I printed out and shoe guide and am solidly a size W6 in Luna sandals with very little extra up top. I got the tabu in W6 and had to exchange for a W7. In most shoes I am a 6.5, and weirdly the biggest issue with the W6 tabu was that my toe didn’t fit. Maybe I have some really wide big toes? Toe fits in the W7 size.

Great fit and function - about to take my Leadville Pacers out on Mount Marcy for a quick outing - will look to relax in these Tabu when I’m relaxing in camp 👍
