Great rod! So happy with purchase, had been fishing a 300 grain wt. scandi setup for trout in Vermont over the past two years. This easily throws a 150 grain line, lightly, and on target with very minimal if no splash at all. Great rod, throwing dries with a two handed rod is possible!

Finally a trout spey that is actually light enough for trout. Last 10 years I have been trying to replicate my years of steelheading in the PNW but for Trout in WY, CO, MT. Sure in the wind or with a very large fly a 3 or 4wt has its place but those are too big for most situations. This 1wt is fantastic and can toss a decent size tip and fly so don't underestimate it. Only bit of feedback would be the 10'9", honestly I think 10' even would be money on this rod. Seriously I love this rod and thank you for making an actual trout spey.
