Lovely Material - can’t seem to get it to work.

I found this carrier; researched the company and their different styles. Saved my money and purchased. I cannot get it to work. I have been exchanging emails with customer service and still can’t get it to work. It was suggested that I go down a size. Which doesn’t make sense according to the company’s sizing. At first I couldn’t get him high enough and his legs would come away with marks from the carrier. I get him high enough; it definitely takes practice, but I cannot figure why it’s marking his legs this way other than design…. Overall: The material is lovely(5stars). My son loves to be carried; I don’t want his legs looking like that though. They have marks from where the legs go through carrier straps. (3 stars) Customer service was good but I now haven’t had a response about a solution other than to order a size down. I based my sizing off their chart. (3stars). When I spend $200 on a carrier; I just have a different level of expectation. I really wanted this to work. I’m so petite I have a hard time finding ones that work and fit my waist. The waist less seemed like a perfect choice.
