Almost dead chestnut tree arrived.

How can a tree dry out badly in a couple of days since ordering? 95% of the leaves were dry when I received it. I planted it but I am not sure it will survive. I believe that the tree was already in bad shape when it was packed and mailed out to me… no other way to explain it. I don’t trust “Perfect Plants” unfortunately.
