Best fit I've ever had from in a bike shoe

I was a little hesitant to purchase shoes on line, but with the sizing requirements, it made me feel a bit more secure with on line purchase. They fit perfectly. I have a problem in both feet that requires good fit if I'm going to ride more than and hour or two. I've only worn them 2x on rides more than 2 hrs. did not have any pain problems. I really love these shoes so far. Now if they hod up to being used, then I'll be even more pleased with this purchase. My current thinking is, I will definitely purchase Lake shoes again.

The shoe fits me well and it was recommended by someone who helped me fit my bike. I’d buy it again.

Really comfy, love them so far, strange cleat position

I have ridden a handful of rides in these shoes so far and they are really comfy. As I'm getting older, some of my shoes are now wide fit. According to the sizing guide, wide fit is also what I needed with these Lake shoes, but the wide version wasn't available in my size so I took a chance and ordered the normal width. The normal width turned out to be fine and is actually wider than my previous Shimano bike shoes. My only criticism is the cleat placement, there isn't much adjustment with the Shimano SPD-SL cleats anyway, but to get mine into the correct riding position the cleat overhangs the base of the shoe by approx. 7/8" on one side. It works fine but just looks a bit strange. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I did something wrong, but I don't really see how the cleats could be mounted any differently.
