Pelikan M205 Fountain Pen - Rose Quartz (Special Edition)

Love the size and color I writes beautifully

I so want to like this pen, I really do. However, I wish to return it. The EF nib is horrible. If I were to remove a sewing pin from my pin cushion and run it along paper, you would have the same feeling and sound. Very scratching and very very dry. Upon returning this, I would like to try another Pelikan but I need to do some more homework.

I did not clean the pen as thoroughly as I should have before I started using it. As a result, it was skipping a lot and the flow is bad. Once I did that it's been pretty much perfect. The steel nib is bouncy and gives a bit of variation -- though not a flex writer. The ink capacity on these pens is also pretty good. Downsides: it is fairly small in the hand, compared to others you could get for the same price or less. You could be forgiven for expecting a gold nib north of $200. And that's a valid critique. And honestly, I think these are a little overpriced as as the case with everything from Pelikan. Pink is my thing. So I knew I had to have this. If it were another color I wouldn't have got it.
