It is a cable! Like many others before me, I have found through experience just how delicate the molex connectors are.. at least we can be happy that the replacement is inexpensive.

Works Great!
Molex is pretty easy to install, but a bit tricky to unplug. The nice thing about molex is that it has a smaller profile compared to regular jst.
