Mystery solved, not a filter compatatability problem

Have used Atomic filters for years, but my Carrier/ Bryant whole house electrostatic 'purifier' started flashing a warning that manual suggested could be due to not using a "genuine" replacement filter. Ended up shutting power switch on filter off ($1,200 or so original cost). Air was still filtered but no advantage form ionizing feature. Through multiple HVAC furnace/AC routine maintenance calls, nobody had a solution other than to try brand name expensive filter to see if it would resolve. After a couple of years of frustration, recently noticed that one of the little metal tabs at bottom front of unit was bent. It was on right side, same side as filter foil/metal arms that system uses to 'sense' filter installed. Photo shows tab restored to proper angle. Indicator light no longer flashes. Easy fix. Common sense, no HVAC expertise required. Now getting full benefit of system.

Filter are a great alternative to expensive name brand Carrier filters

Hove been buying these for years and have found them to be as good as the Carrier brand filters at twice the price.
