Great rod for big baits. Been throwing 7inch glides an 8inch magdrafts. The moderate fast tip is great for not ripping the bait out of the fishes mouth but have plenty of back bone to horse them in and away from cover. Caught multiple 6lb-8.5lb bass on this rod. Rod is strong and very light in weight. Highly recommended. you definitely wont be disappointed
