Terrific Coffee

Since I discovered Mad Priest Coffee I have ordered whole beans in 2 pound bags for my daily pick-me-up. Mostly Heretic Blend, Dark Night of the Soul or (this last order) Washed Huila. I will also order smaller bags of their curated beans which are smaller, more exotic varieties from small collectives or co-ops around the world. The Forbidden Fruit was one of these. I found this coffee to be light, bright and complex but not “too much”. I use a slightly sweet non-dairy creamer and the flavor profile that the creamer brought out was berry and chocolate if I recall correctly. I trust Mad Priest to find ethically sourced beans and to treat the growers as true partners. That allows me to enjoy my cup without the bitter taste of colonial oppression that is too often included in corporate beans. Keep up the great work Mad Priest! You’ve made a convert in me.

This was the perfect desert coffee, sweet and rich and floral.
