No such thing as vintage rods and screws.

Go ahead and put new tension rods on a rebuilt or vintage snare. Marvel at how well they fit and at how new it makes your drum look. Listen real carefully and notice the difference in the sound your drum makes. None! Vintage screws are worn out screws.
