Quality Hardware

I used this with Gibraltar SC-EA100 12" Extension Arm. It took me awhile to figure out the proper angle but I eventually got there.

Good, but not as expected...not clamp's fault.

I purchased this to hold a horizontal rack tube attached to a throne post, for the purposes of supporting vocal and overhead mic booms behind a playing drummer without additional stands. the load is all on the small-diameter section, and the loading force is at a bad angle for the design (twisting towards the butterfly nut). I chose the "super clamp" for the larger surface area, thinking it would require less pressure on the post, reducing distortion. Humorously, the chrome is so good/smooth that the clamp area "slides" on the post when used this way, and I need even more pressure than I did with an old, painted clamp. I likely would have been happier with the painted super-clamp, which would have likely required less clamping force wit the "tackiness" of the paint.
