The pad makes it a lot more comfortable to drive in socks. It took a little getting used to but it’s staying on the rig. I ended up using some double stick tape to keep it in place, rather than the Velcro they include. I do wish it was a little deeper (front to back) to allow for different foot positions, especially in endurance races.
Editing after ~8 months. I’ve worn holes in it and there are big dents where my heels sit. Still better than resting on metal but I’m not sure if it’s worth buying a new one every 6-8 months.
