Unexpected

This was the first book I purchased from Samantha. I enjoyed this book quite a bit which is unexpected because this isn’t a genre I typically read. I usually gravitate towards crime thrillers, mysteries, fantasy, and self help books. I could not put this book down (started and finished the same day). I like how the book alternates between characters who have drastically different backgrounds and personalities. This story does touch on difficult topics and portrays how experiences from the past can impact the future. Defining Her made me stop and reflect about my own life. I would recommend to those looking to step outside of their comfort zone.
