He Is Risen Embroidery Kit

Not exactly beginner friendly

I am attempting the "He Is Risen" embroidery. This is my first embroidery project and despite the online instructions, I've had a hard time with it. Separating the threads often ends in a tangled mess, the thread often gets twisted and produces wonky stitches, and I've wasted so much thread on the "tomb" portion that I've had to go online and order more. Also, the color numbers on the instructions don't match the color numbers on the embroidery floss labels, which made it confusing to track which is which. Only one needle is included and I ordered more for the inevitable loss. If I wasn't 3/4 of the way through I would give up. Make sure you have extra supplies, a magnifiying light, a needle threader, lots of patience and lots of time, especially if your project will be a gift.

Colorful yet simple for my beginner skill level. Love the pattern.
