They added a glide that wasn't harmed by pressure. I have a XL XS Artisan and I had an issue of putting pressure on my mouse and slowing it accidentally, this fixed that and made me feel smoother and more accurate. 3 months later they have not slowed and I just ordered some for me HTX.

No doubt that they are probably really good but not in humid areas, makes them feel really sluggish.
