I ordered the lunacyled Mono Gordos hoping to get slightly used sandals and saving a bit but to my surprise they sent me NEW sandals with a nice note telling me they ran out of recycled sandals. Thank you, everyone at Luna's, great customer service! I had expected to get squishy soft thick sandals, but they were quite firm and this took some getting used to. Also I had to adjust the straps often as they kept coming loose. Having worn then for 2 months now alternating with other barefoot sandals this has very much improved now and I find myself preferring the Gordos over other sandals I own. I actually consider it a plus now that the sole is quite firm because it makes for a much better walk. My only gripe is with the sizing. They run very large. I usually wear size US men's 9 and have sized down to 8 after checking with the template. I should have ordered a 7.5 though, there is still ample room for my toes.

Too heavy for me

I bought these because I wanted a minimalist sandal with a thicker sole for a bit more cushion. Unfortunately I find the sole quite heavy and very inflexible, leading me to feel like I was just clomping around more than really walking naturally. As well, I got a blister from the toe strap. I think these would be good for someone who's not accustomed to minimalist/barefoot shoes that actually flex with the movement of the foot, but they're definitely not for me. I would return them, but I bought a lightly-used pair at a bit of a discount, so I understand they're not returnable. In short, I'd recommend these for people who prefer thicker and less flexible soles with pretty much no groundfeel. I would recommend against them for people who like the shoe to move with the foot.
