I really enjoyed this retelling of Cinderella with a twist. I like how it ties in the other stories in the series with the Enchanted Wildwoods. If you like fairytale retellings, then I would highly recommend this book.
Nesrin once had a great life working with her father, then after his death she became the maid to her step-mother. Once her step-mother ran out of money, she sold Nesrin to Zander, the King of the Rovers. Just before her step-mother took her to be sold, Nesrin made a deal with the river goddess. For the first time since her father's passing, Nesrin is happy with Zander and the Rover's but it doesn't last long. The river goddess request her payment, which is with Nesrin's life. Things look bad but there is a HEA.
