This opens heavy and resinous, with a thick labdanum note that feels warm, sticky, and slightly smoky from the start. It’s not fresh or pretty—more dry, leathery, and almost animalic, with a rough, sun-baked amber quality that can feel intense or even challenging depending on skin chemistry.
As it develops, it stays fairly linear but deepens into a dark amber-wood base of resin, musk, and faint balsamic smoke. It sits close to the skin and feels dense and atmospheric—less like a “perfume” and more like a raw, moody material. It’s polarizing: hypnotic and addictive for some, overwhelming for others, but always deliberate and bold.

The real deal!
"The real deal" applies to both the fragrance (I grow cistus labdanum is this is exactly what it smells like on a scorching day) and ScentSplit, whom I've only had perfect experiences with. Thank you!
