Axe came super sharp and build quality is outstanding! Hand forged, tight uniform handle grain, proper length. I’ll be chopping lots of wood with this one!

Be prepared to rehang the head

This Axe was not hanged properly at all. It would have been better if the head and handle came separately like in the good old days, so I could have utilized the full length of the handle without having to lose a couple of inches cutting out the ring wedge. The head and handle are both excellent, grain orientation is almost perfect, minimal runout. Handle is way too thick, be prepared to spend time shaving it down significantly. Head is lovely, not much profiling to do before sharpening and honing, steel bit is nice and hard.
