Whirlpool Range Flat Gas Igniter, Hot Surface OEM - WP9782065

Gas oven not igniting properly, now fixed.

My gas oven was igniting intermittently for while and stopped completely at some point, even though the igniter was getting energized. After replacing with a new one (make sure to attach ropes to the old wires to facilitate running the new wires), the oven now works like a new one! Received the parts, in good condition, in the expected time frame.

Ordered my part and it was here the next day. Almost half the cost from going to other part houses.

Almost perfect

Almost an identical match except for one of the leads was larger than the OEM igniter and it doesn’t have the same braided heat shields on the wires like the OEM. It glows very quickly compared to the 20 yr old OEM unit. Would be good to include instructions on how to install, but it’s fairly easy to do. Recommend turning off the gas supply and power before working on your oven.
