The bodice has virtually no stretch around the waist, and the proportions are odd- for instance, the sleeves too tight for a medium.

Perfection!
What a great dress! Simple, yet elegant. The quality is outstanding. I went with a medium because I wanted a tighter fit under my arms, and I knew with the black, I wouldn't look stuffed into the dress. I simply can't say enough about the craftsmanship! More colors, and a short version would be a welcome addition.
