These are very cute but I had issues

So I was so excited to use these, especially with my cat's birthday coming up. I had issues getting these to stick to my nails, even though I thoroughly cleaned my nails with rubbing alcohol before applying them. I had issues trying to file off the excess, you might see it in the photos, but the middle finger ones didn't file well and look a little funky. The design is really cute, and I am not sure where I went wrong. I put them on before bed and then did the top coat after I woke up.
